                                             WONDER

                                        R.J. PALACIO

Mum and dad are having a argument about August going to school or being home schooled .Mum says go to school and dad says that he should be home schooled. here is my opinion.

I agree with mum  because August  should have the chance to make new friends so he can have friends to go to the movies with or hang out.

Honour

Designed by: Susan Barbara Rice Davies from Nelson
I am 66yrs and am fortunate have never been called to serve my country and it Honours those who gave us the freedom to enjoy our lives. The silver fern is recognised as a NZ symbol and a sports team. The black is worn by many of our sports teams, the ABs black sticks, and caps who also have the fern as a logo.
i think that we should have this flag as our nz flag because it represents our soldiers  that battled in war

Kapa Haka is the term used for the Traditional Maori Performing Arts.
Unlike other indigenous dance forms, kapa haka is unique in the fact that the performers must sing, dance, have expression as well as movement all combined into each item.
Kapa Haka could be seen as sign language, as each action has a meaning, which ties in with the words. For example, if the hand is by the ear, this would probably tie in with the word whakarongo which means to listen.

ANZAC POEM

Anzac poppy,
        Laid on the soldiers’ graves,
As red as the smoking sun.
The burnt poppies,
Dying.

Soldiers,
expecting an overseas adventure,
Instead……….
Puddles of disgusting mud,
Naked trees, bombed,
The  anxious, terrified soldiers,
Dying.

I think that this book is a girls and boys book

The book has interesting facts in it about cheetahs it tells you where they live, and their coats, and their bodies , their claws , their feet , their  tails, their speed, how they hunt , what they hunt , their territories, their families  , how young cheetahs grow up.

You will never get bored of cheetahs
